This rock chart is
a great example of how a rock song is put together. There a four
variations within this piece including a half-time section and
a 1/4 note ride section. After practising the chart as written,
try it with the track. Experiment with or change some of the beats
if you like.
Take note of the several
instuctions to play a fill:
The idea here is that
you play a two-beat fill (taking up counts 3 and 4). Use any fill
you like, as long as it fits into the two beats.
indicates a one-bar repeat. That is, simply play whatever the
last bar has notated.
